Hey all!
It's time to get those flags out of your closet and get spinning! We have our first parade practice from 3 to 5 on Monday May 11th. We will rehearse Mondays and Thursdays until the parade. The songs are celebration, eye of the tiger, and blow the roof off. I will teach you a routine (keeping it simple don't worry) and we'll march around the neighborhoods with the band. See you Monday!

Parade and Guard Meeting
The following information comes from Julie. We want to plan a guard meeting to talk about this and some other important things so comment on this or call me or claudia. The tentative date for the meeting will be in two weeks so make yourselves available, it will be afterschool.
We are going to be leading the rose festival fun walk on june 6th. It is a 4 mile hike and the THS band and colorguard will be leading it so we ALL , both varsity and JV have to be there. By participating in the fun walk it guareentees us a place in the rse festival next year. If you can not make it please tell me through facebook or e-mail.
this is for seniors only you DO NOT have to do the rose festival fun walk but if you want to that would be great.
Start practicing drop spins and figure eights because they might be in the routine for the parade, it is not going to be complicated but just basics. be prepared for tuesday and thursday practices.
Mckees website has the times and any other information you might want so if you have any questins go to mckees website.
-Julie, thanks for listening

The end marks a new beginning...
Congratulations Tigard Winter Guards! I'm so proud of all of you. I hope that you all continue to spin and keep your skills up because, as you know, there's always another season ahead :) Especially those weapon skills. Pick up the rifle and saber often and keep your muscles trained. The more we know when we return to rehearsals, the farther we can go!
Keep in touch and I love you guys!
